NASCAR Heat Racing League Signature Events
Thursday at 5:04 PM ET
lepage71 - An NHRL series usually lasts for several months of the year. The Cup, Busch, and Truck series, as everyone knows, are annual staples of the league, with sequential seasons in 2017, 2018, and beyond. But now, for the first time, we're adding something different, a new venture that shakes up the traditional series format. The league is pleased to announce the debut of Signature Events, a continuous, season-less series of one-off exhibition races. Unlike past special events, however, every Signature Event will count as an official victory in the league archives. And that's just the beginning. Where and what will we race in this new format? The possibilities are endless! Road courses, short tracks, figure 8 derbies. Sports cars, modifieds, UPS trucks. It's all possible! The rules may also differ from event to event: some may have caution flags, some could have no rules at all. So what to do next? For one, the first event is now posted, the NHRL 24 @ DAYTONA. For more, review the schedule or discuss the details in our forum! Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

League Launches 2018 NHRL Truck Series
Sunday, December 24, 2017
lepage71 - A new year is underway! As anticipated, the NASCAR Heat Racing League has announced its first series of the season, the 2018 NHRL Truck Series. The details are not likely to disappoint anyone. The series will make use of the popular NHRLTS mod, take place on Friday nights at 9:00 PM ET, and include a dozen events from January 12 to April 13. Pundits expect a rematch of the throw-down that was the 2017 NHRL Truck Series. Like last year, most of the usual NHRL heavy-hitters are looking to participate, along with several rookie drivers and a few newly returned league members. The new year also marks the return of the Truck Series, as well as the league's other series, to a 3X wear factor, starting a new cycle in the league's schedule and format rotation. Interested in joining the drama? It's easy...sign up for the Truck Series on our forum and we'll look forward to seeing you out on the track! Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

Fifth Annual Holiday Derby @ Huntsville Nite!
Thursday, December 14, 2017
lepage71 - Conduct in the NASCAR Heat Racing League is usually defined by a shared respect for the league rules and fellow competitors. Our drivers forge a careful balance between fun and fair competition. But now, it's time to cave in some faces! On Saturday, December 23 at 9:00 PM ET, the concept of courtesy will be discarded in its entirety, switched with what everyone REALLY wants to do during the holiday season. That's right, it's everyone's favorite time of the year again! The league is highly honored to announce its fifth prestigious Holiday Derby...the one NHRL party where the term "bash" applies literally! On the 23rd, a rabble of petulant, grinch-like imps will arm up in the Platinum Mod at Huntsville Nite in a hate-fest of greed, survival, and one-upsmanship. And, in the holiday spirit, the event will be open to all, even if you have limited talent, and provided you bring an awful attitude. As expected, those who can't hack it will slink into their holes. Skip this year's event and you'll be missing an opportunity to make NASCAR Heat history. Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

Another Dazzling Busch Series Championship
Thursday, December 14, 2017
lepage71 - Speedyman11 has claimed the title yet again! From start to finish, he placed the 2016-17 Busch Series championship in little doubt, given his impressive performance. Speedy edged lepage71 in the final standings by 40 points and topped the charts with 8 wins, 8 poles, and 572 laps led. Despite the statistics, however, much of his success came in moderation, perhaps making them even more remarkable. In the actual races, over half of the margins fell within 3 seconds, with several outcomes decided with late passes or strategies. In second place on the podium, lepage71 drove to three victories of his own, collecting the most top-5 finishes (10) and bonus points (95). CR49, in an outstanding return to NHRL, conducted his best-ever season campaign, earning 2 poles, leading 112 laps, and finishing in third place. Rookiesrock, in fourth, was the only driver other than Speedy and lepage to score a victory. Solid Breeze, meanwhile, mirrored his 2016 campaign, grabbing another fifth-place position in the standings. Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

League Announces 2017 Busch Series Season
Tuesday, July 4, 2017
lepage71 - Get ready, it's time for your annual dosage of the NBS mod! The NASCAR Heat Racing League is thrilled to release the official schedule for the 2017 NHRL Busch Series season. But that's not all. After consulting with members, the league is also happy to announce that it will return to Sunday evenings (8:30 PM ET), the same time as used earlier in the 2017 Truck Series. As is typical in the NBS mod, we expect the competition to be as equally wide-open as it is tough, for drivers of every skill level. Caution flags only add to the every-race drama. And, as far as this year's championship is concerned, don't be surprised if a true showdown is in store, as Speedyman11, lepage71, Rookiesrock, KartRacer63, and others are all legitimate contenders. We'd love to have you and everyone else join the action. Sign up today on the forum and we'll look forward to soon seeing you on the track! Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

lepage71 Wins 2017 Cup Series Championship
Tuesday, July 4, 2017
lepage71 - We have a new champion! Well, at least in a short-term sense. After Speedyman11, who had claimed multiple, consecutive titles since 2015, announced a limited schedule for the 2017 NHRL Cup Series, an opening emerged for a new, yet also familiar figure to drive to the championship. In the case of the Cup Series, however, the advantage might not have mattered much. In 2017, lepage71 regained the Cup Series throne, edging out a group of tough competitors with a stellar performance, featuring 6 wins, a league-leading 353 laps led, and a perfect 12 top-5 finishes. Although still relatively modest, his margin in the standings, 78 points (1877-1799), was the largest gap since the 2013 Truck Series, where he won by 108. Despite missing several events, Speedy still finished second in the standings, an impressive feat accompanied by four wins. Rookiesrock, always a serious contender, took the third step on the podium with 9 top-5s, but surprisingly no victories. KartRacer had a breakout performance in fourth, earning his first two NHRL victories, including a late-race thriller at Texas over both lepage and Speedy. Breeze finished in the top-5 in the Cup standings for the second straight season. Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

2017 NHRL Cup Series Starts March 24!
Wednesday, March 8, 2017
lepage71 - The NASCAR Heat Racing League has released the schedule for the 2017 NHRL Cup Series. Anticipation is sky high after the completion of our recent Truck Series, one which featured an abundance of storylines. A plethora of questions await Cup competitors. Will Speedyman11 continue his long ongoing victory tour? Will yet another first-time winner emerge after two straight series (Busch, Truck) of new drivers visiting victory lane (BlackKnight, ltfireman)? Will recent changes to the rules affect race strategies and outcomes? The Cup Series schedule, as expected, features a strong variety of courses, ranging from super speedways to road courses, including the series' debut at Road America T. Notably, the league will host the Cup Series on Fridays at 8:15 PM ET, in tandem with another league, NHRMA, which will be at 9:45. Drivers who participate in both leagues should find some efficiencies in their schedule as a result. So what are you waiting for? Come to our forum and sign up today! Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

Speedyman11 Claims Truck Title Convincingly
Sunday, March 5, 2017
lepage71 - Speedyman11 captured the 2016-17 NHRL Truck Series title using a very effective formula. From beginning to end, he consistently qualified well, ran near the front, and minimized his mistakes, particularly on pit road. The results would speak for themselves, as Speedy delivered a record-challenging effort, accompanied by a sparkling set of statistics. In total, he won 8 races and poles, finished in the top-5 in every event, and led more laps (551) than anyone else...combined. Yet despite the lofty numbers, the final outcome in the standings was sneakily close. Runner-up lepage71 made two trips of his own to victory lane and also equaled Speedy's perfect slate of top-5 finishes. In third place, ltfireman earned his first top-3 finish in the standings, as well as his first win in the league, holding off a five-truck group in a thrilling series finale at Talladega. Breeze, meanwhile, won a pole for the third straight series and matched his best finish of fourth. And ever-steady BlackKnight prevailed over Rookiesrock for fifth by a mere 3 points, trailing just Speedy and lepage with 9 top-5 finishes. Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

Fourth Annual Holiday Derby Set @ TS_Superdome
Tuesday, December 13, 2016
lepage71 - Competition in the NASCAR Heat Racing League is usually defined by a common respect for the league rules and fellow competitors. Drivers in the NHRL demonstrate a wise balance that promotes fun and safe competition. But enough about such tedium. On Sunday, December 18 at 7:30 PM ET, the notion of fair play will be scrapped in its entirety, and replaced with what everyone REALLY wants to do this holiday season. That's right, it's everyone's favorite time of the year again. The league is shamelessly pleased to announce its fourth annual Holiday Derby...the one NHRL festivity where the term "bash" applies literally! On the 18th, a gang of unholy, grinch-like manchildren will take up arms up in the NHRL Truck Series Mod at the new Taylor Swift Superdome in a coal-chucking smear-fest of greed, survival, and one-upsmanship. In the holiday spirit, the event is open to all, even if you can't drive, and as long as you bring a poor attitude. As expected, those who simply can't hack it will slink into their holes and quiver in their newly-stained underpants. Skip this year's event, and you'll be missing an opportunity to make NASCAR Heat history. Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

League Announces 2017 Truck Series
Wednesday, November 16, 2016
lepage71 - The trucks are back, and they're moving to Sundays! The NASCAR Heat Racing League is getting a jump start on the 2017 season after an exceptional 2016 campaign in all three major series. Significant changes are in the mix. This year, the NHRL Truck Series will start at a much earlier date (November 27), just a few weeks after the conclusion of the NHRL Busch Series, and take place on a new night and time (Sundays at 8:30 ET). A unique November to February window on Sunday evening should allow many competitors to participate. In fact, the Trucks actually begin on the final day of the 2016 Sprint Cup Series (Miami) and end on the first day of the 2017 campaign (Daytona). All of the usual NHRL heavy hitters will be there, including Speedyman11, who will be looking to defend his 2016 Truck Series championship. The schedule will likely be another feature of the series, where the trucks make their league debut at both Miami_H and Brickyard. So sign up and don't miss the fun! We look forward to seeing your and everyone else out on the track. Rated 5/5 (1 vote).
