Road America is a 4.048-mile road course with 14 corners and a 35 MPH speed limit on pit road. The league competed at Road America for the first time during the 2008-09 season. Since its league debut, the track has hosted 9 races in 3 series. As a member of the road course group, Road America places a b emphasis on track awareness, smooth driving, and patience. Moreover, drivers can face large penalties for ignoring the off-roading rules at Road America. The rules require every competitor to keep a minimum of two tires completely on the racing surface at all times. A driver who gains an unfair advantage by driving off of the course will be penalized, regardless of whether the strategy is inadvertent or intentional. |
