Make sure you update your drivers via the web: https://www.geforce.com/drivers.

Sometimes the software that comes with the CD in the box is out of date with Windows. Also, where is the error message occurring? Your computer specifications look similar to mine so I don't think the screenshot reveals that much about the problem.

Interesting, NASCAR Heat detects no VRAM from the GPU.

In the Device Manager, under the Display Adapters listing, after uninstalling the GeForce drivers, try right-clicking the GPU and installing the Microsoft-detected drivers. See if that allows NASCAR Heat to run. Then, if the game works, you might try reinstalling the GeForce drivers.

Here's another guess, but did you happen to insert the new GPU in the same PCI slot as your old GPU? If so, try inserting the new GPU in a previously unused PCI slot. I think I've read that the system can still be looking for your old GPU even though a new GPU rests in its slot.

wow wtf game still asked if the drivers are up to date. So does that mean I need to reinstall the game? And if so should I install the new card first? Btw I only have one pci slot.

You shouldn't have to reinstall the game. It sounds like the problem is between Windows 8 and the GPU. But I'm not there, so I could be wrong.

I noticed on the GeForce driver site, there's actually a few different Windows 8 drivers, so make sure you're attempting to install the correct one. Also, I assume your new video card actually appears in your Device Manager listings. If not then Windows isn't detecting it.

now I am really confused. I went to walmart and come back and tried to launch the game using the micro-soft/on board hdmi and the drivers, video card is not in the pci, and it went into the game. I guess I will just try and reinstall the card and see what I get. I also tried every single driver download for 1050 ti, win 8.1/64. I need to say thanks for helping me even though its not fixed yet. :)

At least that would seem to eliminate the game as the issue. The GPU and/or its drivers aren't behaving with the board and/or Windows.

Do you know of a way to stop the windows install wizard to stop? Or whatever it uses to try and automaticlly install new hardware?
