Short track like Bristol. Not Marty. That's too easy to take someone out.

All eligible tracks should be thrown in a hat, and one track drawn randomly approximately 1 to 1 and a 1/2 hours b4 scheduled start time.Using a fixed setup ,of course.

Didn't someone make a figure 8 track for heat at some point? If not I think someone released a track like where the bandelaros (kids in mini legends cars) run at Lowes. in that little infiield oval.

I also think you can drive at will around MP Pocono's infield. There's some other add-on tracks that don't have invisible walls in the infield that may work. I think we should try to find a figure 8 though. have a last man standing race.

I have a few figure 8 tracks (Figure of 8, Hednesford Figure 8, Smallfield8, Swaffam8, Texel8, Westworld8, ect...), but all of them cross paths (No bridges), I have been looking for one of those legend tracks (infield Charlotte, Atlanta, ect) but have not been able to find one for the LCH league...

Smallfield Ramps, or Mad Track are always a great time!

I may have misunderstood what you meant by "derby" when I posted earlier. After reading Bov's post, I kinda got "demolition" stuck in my head
and remembered the figure 8 races I used to go to in Bakersfield ,Ca. when I was a kid. What a blast that was! That sounds like something alot
of guys might attend. I dont know if it is feasible, but its worth a shot. Has anyone ever run a league sanctioned figure 8 race using Heat that
was successful?

See, most people so far have said yes! I think if we can find a figure 8 track (not too small) we go with it!

He said Derby, didn't he? To me, a derby is like a smash up derby. If you're just talking about a race where you're still running for the checkers, but with the 'gloves off', then it has to be a short track. Shorter the better. Jennerstown, Bowman Gray, etc.

As for figure 8's I was talking about one without a bridge, duster. Like the west coast style figure 8 races. I saw one at South Sound Speedy in Washington State once. What a blast that'd be :meanlaughter

This "derby" will most certainly involve crashing. Diving, gouging, and intentional takeouts will be a requirement for success. :meanlaughter

The Figure 8 stuff probably won't work. Cars tend to ghost at those places and that defeats the major purpose here.

this seems interesting lol... anyways yes there are figure 8 tracks I may still have one on my computer. believe it can be found at the Kiwi Bangers league site. although the Derry track is a nice course 1 banked turn and 1 nearly flat turn.

I seem to remember a flat Dirt demo derby like track for heat that i downloaded once. Does any one know what track this is? iT would definately work, all cars could start with rear facing in wards and away they GO! DEMOLITION paybacks! :mrgreen

Just to clarify, this would probably be a legitimate, full-length race. The only difference, of course, is that no rules would apply. At any given moment, the driver who happens to be leading should (in theory) be target #1. However, I assume everyone in the field will crash multiple times over.

Either way, it'll be pure survival. :twisted

Time for Retro to chime in here. Don't you have that bowman gray track? Would that work. It's a narrow, short track where passing wouldn't be quite possible without a little :crash action going on....
