Wrapping Up Phoenix

Post by Viagra6Car »

I know no one has the replay, so I can't prove the black flag I got was unnecessary. I have to say right now that the black flag needs to be dropped. We haven't had any pitting problems this year...or else that person has been penalized points. Why can't we stick to this and drop the black flags?

I don't know if I can completely blame all the problems I had in the second half of the race tonight on the black flag I got, but you better believe it that I'm mad. I finally went out and ran qualifying and started towards the front, ran in 3rd when pitting for the first time, then got the black...but was still 3rd after the stop. I was within 11 seconds of eventual winner Freddy after the stop (so if there was no 15 second penalty, i would've been up by 3-4 seconds), then ran it out of gas trying to gain some ground. I think that I could've won this race...noting that I passed Freddy and pulled away by several seconds after I made it to my pit stall on the empty tank following the 2nd run.

Drop the black rule now

Should be interesting if you give out penalties and how you figure out the results since you didn't get to save any of it because Heat crashed on all of us because no one had crossed the line in 45 seconds.

Since the black flag is on, there is no reason to review everyone's pit speeds.

Pit speed limit is enforced automatically, or you pay the price for speeding.

Hehe... Sorry about the test post. I keep getting one or another field empty which means it doesnt post! So I made sure it would work this time.

Anyay, it was a good race. Like I told you Freddy, I think I had the car to win... I had an altercation with the 43 car about halfway into my first run. It damaged my spoiler 50%. Slowed me greatly, which I think cost me that last lap I needed. Oh well, I hope I got a top five out of it.

After the Race, I dropped my gear one and ran a lap... I ran a 26.909. Ugh! I could have run a lower gear and still turned good laps. I was worried other racers were blazing at this track. Either way, I am happy with my performance.

I guess it is hard or impossible to take Freddy two weeks in a row . I just want that top 10!

BTW, I like the new pit rule.

i was disappointed we couldn't get the replay, but there is no need to review pitting when black flags are on

if you are going over 45 mph, it can catch you, and thats all it should do, we have never seen it black flag a guy going 45 or under...in your case, it probably was disappointing because you slowed all the way down to 30 or so, but you were around 46 or 47 right at the line

all in all, it was a very good race for a tough track...most weeks we will not be using black flags, but since we had a dedicated server last night, we decided to take advantage of that

I knew the importance of that pit stop and made sure I was below the limit. If you keep the black flag on, I'm not racin anymore

flags

like we said before, black flags do not work when someone is actively hosting

on the rare occasions that we have to run in a dedicated server, we might use black flags

however, this wass only the 2nd race of the entire year 2003 that we have run in my server like this, so I wouldn't worry about it

another thing that might have happened is warp when you pitted, on everyone else's screen you might have jumped across the line

but all we can conclude is that you sped...the game doesnt tag you if you enter legally

well i checked here as you suggested v and i dont see what you were talking about. sounds to me like you just blew it by speeding in the pits. he he i'm sure you were pissed just like greg biffle was this year at daytona. i dont see any others complaining about getting caught. he he he

in your own words lp "on the rare occasions we have to run a dedicated server, we might use black flags"

now that we got hal hosting those rare occasions might be the norm.

i trust your instincs.
