Need help with making new car.

I'm trying to create a new car for tomorrow night, but I am having a problem getting to work in Heat. I'm using a borrowed PSD and changing it to my colors, etc. That's where the problem starts. I want to try and set it up to view in the Paint program in Heat, so I can see the progress without starting a race to see it. But I can't get the file in the right place to have it "Import" into the viewer.

Any help would be appreciated. I've painted cars in the past, But I am drawing a complete blank.

That's a good question, if there's an answer other than mine. With my very...very...limited paint experience, I didn't think you could do that.
