We officially recommend that every driver keep four tires on the racing surface. If you do this, then it will be nearly impossible to suffer a penalty. However, the updated rule allows drivers to place 2 tires off of the racing surface without being penalized.
If you consistently place 3 tires off of the track and gain an advantage, then you will be subject to significant penalties as noted in the rules. Please consider this a friendly reminder!
