The segment dividing lap will fall between the first 25% and the final 25% of the race. How will we determine the number? We'll consult a random number generating website like the following: https://www.random.org/integers/. Whatever value the site spits back to us shall be our lap!lepage71 wrote: ↑Wed Jul 03, 2019 5:55 pmSecond, we're going to have segments, for the first time in an NHRL series. We'll split each race into two parts. But there's a bit of a twist. At each event, prior to the green flag, we'll draw a random number, within a few logical constraints, to determine the segment dividing lap. As a result, we might see some some guessing with strategies. We'll also do an ordered start in segment one and inverted restart in segment two.
We're going to use recent league performance to determine the starting positions for the first race at Milwaukee Mile. In the ensuing ones, we'll base them on the reverse order of the championship standings. We'll start every race with a pace lap and ideally do the green flag on lap two.
After we complete segment one, and do pit stops and prepare for segment two, we'll restart in the inverted order of our finishing positions from segment one. As usual, we'll have one free pass. But others should note that they can potentially pull off some clever wave-around strategies.
Here's the starting position priority order for Milwaukee Mile from front to back for everyone who has signed up for IROC in the general thread:
