Mustang IROC Mod
Is it just me or is the IROC mod dark, visually? It's like looking through very tinted glass.

In the cockpit view, the front windshield is a little darker in IROC than in some mods. I don't find it too bothersome, though.
Your monitor might be darker by default so I can see how it could get annoying at a certain darkness level. Perhaps, jot down your monitor's brightness value, raise the setting prior to each IROC race, and then afterwards set it back to your original value. I've done that in the past.
