2019 NHRL IROC Challenge Information
That's right, it's official: IROC has returned! We're super excited to release the schedule for the 2019 NHRL IROC Challenge. In total, the series will consist of eight races in the Mustang IROC mod from July 20 to October 19 on Saturday nights at 8:15 PM ET. Setups will be identical; we'll post the file for each race in the run-up to it. The return of IROC also presents an opportunity to develop an entirely new format for a series.
First, drivers aren't required to register for IROC, so racers can just show up and compete. It's that simple!
Nevertheless, we still encourage drivers to sign up, in this thread, because we're doing something different. We've adjusted the Mustang IROC template to create a similar NHRL IROC template. The template allows us to easily build customized paint schemes for drivers, provided you request one, with personalized driver door names (of course) as well as car numbers and car colors. So, we'd recommend making a request!
To do so, please post your preferred IROC car number and car color (either by name or a HEX or RGB code).
Second, we're going to have segments, for the first time in an NHRL series. We'll split each race into two parts. But there's a bit of a twist. At each event, prior to the green flag, we'll draw a random number, within a few logical constraints, to determine the segment dividing lap. As a result, we might see some some guessing with strategies. We'll also do an ordered start in segment one and inverted restart in segment two.
We'll explain a few further details later. In the meantime, feel free to ask questions and make car requests.

First dibs! I'm going with car number #71, and a car color of #2E471D, which is a dark green shade.

I shall take the #43 and the color #00E800 a bright green that may cause blindness if in your mirror for too long.

Re: 2019 NHRL IROC Challenge Information
Now I know who to avoid.
I should also quickly mention that we do want some color diversity in the IROC field. Therefore, just as with car numbers, which is obvious, we'll also operate on a first-asked basis for car colors. I'll quote myself from a related topic about IROC a few days ago in the Painting Studio:

So, if needed, we might make some adjustments to the requests. FYI: Bandit's green is no problem since it's so different than mine.

Please note, we've adjusted the NHRL IROC starting time to 8:15 PM ET, so that we have a little more space between it and ARL Cup.

02, pick a color for me. I'll be able to run some late October races.

Re: 2019 NHRL IROC Challenge Information
I'm trying to find something far from the other colors so I can be identifiable.
Maybe a SJS teal like #09e8e8
or if that seems close to anyone do a ridiculous pink like #ff8cf0

Teal works well. It's not too similar. Here's the viagra6car:

Re: 2019 NHRL IROC Challenge Information
Are we to modify the game's drivers.tex ourselves? If so, how about a screen shot of the proper format, thanks!
