NHRL 24 @ DAYTONA

Post by lepage71 »

Here's a setup that I devised, with input from Speedy, during our SCGTS practice at Daytona RC last weekend.

It should serve as a solid baseline setup for both the GT2 and GT3 classes. Also, I developed the setup in the 911 Porsche car, which is looser than the more stable BMW. It will likely require tweaking for everyone's individual preferences. However, do take note, you can definitely loosen it for the GT3 class. I developed the setup first to work for GT2, and then for G3, since the GT2 has more power than G3, making it have more sensitive handling. The gear ratios also seem to work well between the two classes. You'll tend to want them lower in GT2 vs. GT3.

What would be a good lap time. In general 1:30,1:50?

A lap time under 2:00 is trending in the right direction.

The best GT2 and GT3 laps, respectively, will likely be low and mid 1:40s. There's around a 5-second gap between the two classes.
