Standard or wide screen monitor?
I am wondering how many of you have wide screen monitors.
I just got one with the new comptuer build. I asked a couple drivers what they thought of how heat looked to them on it and they said not bad after you get used to it.
Well, I didn't like the way it looked, so I used NH UI Control Center to set heat's in-game resolution to 1680x1050 which is my monitors native resolution, and it looks fantastic! (the only other thing I did to get it perfect was increase my field of view from the default 130º to 150º. I'll post screenshots and maybe a vid of the differences.

I'm using a 19" widescreen with default settings for now. I will get the UI for the resolution and change it, but it works ok for now.

Re: Standard or wide screen monitor?
I installed the NH UI controller center. I think I lost about 3 or 4 inches of tire width. The screen resolution I use on my desktop is 1440x900 and my game was set at 1280x1024, so that might be why I'm a dangerous/reckless driver.

Re: Standard or wide screen monitor?
I use the 1440x900 UI CC Widescreen Res... I would like to use dual monitors however Heat does not support it meaning it only stretches the entire game across the two screens. I attempted to get someone over at the mod squad to make me a UI for 2880x900 however no one seemed to know how...

Re: Standard or wide screen monitor?
Sounds like more excuses to me. I run on a 22" wide screen and it's just fine. I just maxed out my resolution in windows and in game running a 200 series GeForce card with an Asus 2ms refresh rate monitor. I'm all for the diligent efforts to improve our experience tho. If I come into some money, I'm thinking about putting my Sony 40" lcd screen on the wall above my desk.

Re: Standard or wide screen monitor?
Did you give up the bong Reef!? Last mock up I saw from you included a bong holder. My 40" has an option to zoom, which fills the screen in real view, but cuts off a slight bit of the edges. Has never been a problem. Maybe if I went that route I could employ the field of vision tweek in the program that Bove was talking about.

Re: Standard or wide screen monitor?
Here's 1280x1024 on my 1680x1050 20" monitor. (images reduced to half size)

And here's what it looks like when heat is actually set at 1680x1050 via ui control center.

Notice that the cars don't look squashed in the second pic. I dunno, I guess it's just user preference, but the difference looks even greater to me when I'm really looking at the screen instead of screenshots.
