These are the rules for "the chase":
The chase is ONLY to decide the Champion, not 2nd through 10th. 2nd through 10th will be decided by overall points throughout the 25 races. In other words if you are in 11th place in points going into the chase you can still move up into the top ten. You just won't be eligible to win the Championship.
TO BE ELIGIBLE
You must be in the top 10 in points at the end of the first 15 races
You must be at, have a sub, or notify us of an absence for ALL of the first 15 races.
POINTS SYSTEM
The top ten will start out the chase as follows
1 - 50 pts
2 - 45 pts
3 - 40 pts
4 - 35 pts
5 - 30 pts
6 - 25 pts
7 - 20 pts
8 - 15 pts
9 - 10 pts
10 - 5 pts
This will be a separate standings. We will also keep track of overall points for the entire season.
EXAMPLE:
If you are in first place in the chase going into week 16 and you win the race (180pts), lead a lap (5pts), lead the most laps (5pts), and get the pole (5pts), you would get 195pts for that week. So in the chase standings you would have 245pts. In the overall season standings you would have your first 15 weeks total plus 195pts.
