League Announces 2017 Truck Series
Wednesday, November 16, 2016
lepage71 - The trucks are back, and they're moving to Sundays! The NASCAR Heat Racing League is getting a jump start on the 2017 season after an exceptional 2016 campaign in all three major series. Significant changes are in the mix. This year, the NHRL Truck Series will start at a much earlier date (November 27), just a few weeks after the conclusion of the NHRL Busch Series, and take place on a new night and time (Sundays at 8:30 ET). A unique November to February window on Sunday evening should allow many competitors to participate. In fact, the Trucks actually begin on the final day of the 2016 Sprint Cup Series (Miami) and end on the first day of the 2017 campaign (Daytona). All of the usual NHRL heavy hitters will be there, including Speedyman11, who will be looking to defend his 2016 Truck Series championship. The schedule will likely be another feature of the series, where the trucks make their league debut at both Miami_H and Brickyard. So sign up and don't miss the fun! We look forward to seeing your and everyone else out on the track. Rated 5/5 (1 vote).

NHRL Truck Series + Caution Flags = Action
Monday, December 28, 2015
lepage71 - Changes in seasons come with changes in colors. As 2014-15 gives way to 2015-16, the league will turn its attention toward its third series since the adoption of caution flags, a feature where we all that know the color yellow is the name of the game. Yes, it's that time of the season again. The NHRL Truck Series is BACK, and now, for the first time, with caution flags. And you might be thinking, as if trucks didn't produce close enough racing already! Now we're throwing caution flags into the mix. Defending Truck Series champion Rookiesrock, the other usual NHRL contenders, and a group of new faces will all be battling it out in the high-draft, high-stakes NHRL Truck Series Mod. Yellow flag savant Jes Rathbun, as expected, will reprise his role as NHRL pace truck driver and caution flag official. The Truck Series schedule consists of 12 races on Friday nights from January 8 to April 8. The official starting time for each race is 8:45 PM ET. We look forward to seeing you and everyone else on the track! Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

Rookiesrock Drives to Truck Series Championship
Wednesday, December 17, 2014
lepage71 - An NHRL championship has changed hands again. In an impressive run, Rookiesrock captured the 2014 NHRL Truck Series title, earning it on the strength of the most victories (5) and the most laps led (375). He also continued an ongoing series battle with lepage71, as the two have accounted for multiple Truck championships since 2008. Despite his strong credentials in 2014, Rookie topped runner-up lepage by a margin of just 25 points (1854-1829), while third-place finisher Spike trailed by little more than 100 (1854-1751). In his inaugural season, Spike decisively claimed rookie-of-the-year honors and scored his first victory with bold strategy at Talladega. BlackKnight, meanwhile, finished fourth in the standings, leading laps in several races and putting together his best season in the league. Newcomer ltfireman rounded out the top-five, gaining consistent praise for his improvement throughout the series. Race wins were relatively spread out, as lepage71 claimed 3 events and Hammer, CruiseCtrl, and Donaldson each scored one victory apiece. Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

League Returns to Action with Truck Series
Monday, July 28, 2014
lepage71 - After a six-month hiatus, the NASCAR Racing League is making its long-anticipated return to the track! Even better, we'll be doing so in one of Heat's most popular and action-packed mods, bover907's NHRLTS. Yes, the trucks are back. The league is excited to announce the official release of the schedule and the opening of registrations for the 2014 NHRL Truck Series. Like last year, the series will feature 12 events on Saturday nights. However, we'll be starting each race about an hour earlier, a change intended to enable a larger pool of drivers to participate in the league. As always, the crowd favorites will all be there...but will you? Equally interesting is the varied 2014 course rota, containing superspeedways, flat tracks, road courses, and even a new short track from DaveO and TMS (Montgomery). If you're interested in joining the fun, please visit the forum and reserve your number in the signup thread. There's not a moment to waste! Rated 5/5 (2 votes).

League Announces 2013-14 CTS Series
Saturday, September 7, 2013
lepage71 - Yes, the trucks of bover907's NHRLTS mod are thundering back into town. The league is excited to announce the official schedule for the 2013-14 NHRL CTS Series. Like last season, the CTS Series contains a full schedule of 12 races. Unlike last year, 10 of the tracks are different and each event will be slightly longer, on average. As a result, strategies at many familiar course classifications may need overhauling. The end result can only mean more unpredictability and intrigue. We'll also be introducing two new tracks to the NHRL rota: G3-Miami SP and Sonoma 2012. Based on last season, we expect another diverse cast of characters and a fantastic level of competition. And with several new teams in the mix, who knows for sure what might happen. If you're interested in participating in the CTS Series, please head over to our forum and reserve your number in the signup thread. Rated 4.8/5 (3 votes).

DaveO Drives to 2012-13 CTS Championship
Wednesday, January 30, 2013
lepage71 - The NHRL has completed another exciting CTS Series season! DaveO captured the championship on the strength of 6 wins and 11 top-5 finishes in 12 events. What was most impressive, however, was the diverse nature of his victories, ranging from speed to fuel strategies. Dave and NHRL Racing now account for the last three NHRL championships. Going forward, it will take a strong effort from other contendors to dislodge the NHRL machine. Yet Dave was not without pursuers in CTS. After a sluggish start, lepage71 rallied to extend his record of consecutive series with at least one win. He would finish second in the standings. Hammer won the first two events and seemed primed to claim his first title until crashes and equipment problems relegated him to third. Notably, T-bone collected his first official NHRL victory at Michigan, scoring a career-high finish of fourth in the standings. A consistent Rookiesrock claimed the final coveted top-5 standings position. Rated 4.4/5 (4 votes).

League Launches Revamped 2012-13 CTS Series
Saturday, September 15, 2012
lepage71 - After a quiet but hot summer, the real heat - that of competition - is returning to the NASCAR Heat Racing League! The league is pleased to announce an expanded CTS Series consisting of 12 events. The venues will range from the high speeds of Talladega to the winding roads of Watkins Glen. The revamped schedule is part of a longer-term reformatting of the league's series. No longer a mini-series, CTS is now the first stage of a three-part regular season with the NBS and CUP series. Competition, as always, should be extremely tight. If last season is any indication, then as many as a dozen competitors will be battling for the championship. Drivers who are interested in competing in CTS should register on the forum. If you do not have a driver account on the website, you will need to request one on the forum in order to post your custom paint schemes. See you all on the track! Rated 5/5 (3 votes).

League Sanctions 2011-12 CTS Series Season
Sunday, November 27, 2011
lepage71 - Grab those helmets, it's time to hit the track once again! The league has announced the official schedule for the 2011-12 CTS Series season. The series, the fifth of its kind during the CUP and NBS breaks, will feature eight races on Fridays and Saturdays between December 9 and January 14. Perhaps most significantly, the series will use a brand new mod, bover907's recently released NHRL Truck Series. Few observers doubt that this will be another series in an impressive line featuring unprecedented competition. For drivers interested in competing, please reserve a number on the forum and, if you haven't already, request your website user account from the league administrators. Drivers should also remember, the league has moved its starting time to 10:45 PM Eastern. Drivers who come to the server later than the starting time will be at risk of missing the event. We look forward to seeing everyone on the track! Rated 5/5 (9 votes).

bover907 Releases NHRL Truck Series Mod!
Sunday, November 27, 2011
lepage71 - After much anticipation, the NHRL Truck Series Mod has been released! League administrator and mod developer bover907 was thrilled to announce a set of exciting advances: "This is the first in a series of three new mods for the NHRL, all having the same theme throughout the user interface, offering ease of use and uniformity." The league has little doubt that the final product is worth the wait. Speaking about the mod, bover was quick to assign credit: "I'd like to thank Smoke_OR and Om3gA Racing for granting permission to use their NCTS09 models, Elite Paint Designs for their CWTS Series paints, The Mod Squad, and Speedsims for all their support." He added: "I'd finally like to thank everyone at the NHRL for all their thoughts and prayers during the recent flooding event. I greatly appreciate everyone's understanding dealing with the subsequent delay in the mod's release." Rated 5/5 (4 votes).

Rookiesrock Claims Second Straight CTS Championship
Saturday, November 20, 2010
lepage71 - Rookiesrock has clinched his second straight CTS championship and third title overall in the series. Unlike last season, the championship was among the closest ever, as he defeated lepage71 (2nd), d3efan (3rd), and Easton (4th) in a battle that came down to the final lap of the final race. Each driver held the points lead for at least one week and just 40 markers separated them in the final standings. Easton started on a tear, winning the first two races, but faltered down the stretch with misfortune and bad luck. In contrast, lepage71 and d3efan were models of consistency, scoring three victories and tying Rookiesrock with 7 top-5s. However, Rookiesrock captured three of the final four races, including a wild last-lap finale at Talladega, to edge both drivers for the championship. If 2010 is any indication, then next year is already gearing to be another great season! Rated 4.3/5 (4 votes).
