Hey Doz, Bov and Act, I'll be a man..(something Doz wasn't much of pre-race for the Cup race) and say i'm sorry for the accident in the NBS race.

However, there was 0 intent and I was given the "clear" from the spotter so I moved over. Why you would not lift when you saw me coming over when I was clear confuses me, but I guess losing 1 spot in the first few laps of the race somehow gives you no chance to win.

And for your clip on your site, you only show the after affect, and not the entire situation before the contact, but I guess that's a way to avoid any blame on you.

So yes, my car made the contact, so for that I'm sorry, especially to Bov who as always been a fun racer. These are tracks I do the best on, so on lap 10 or whatever, i'm not saying to myself "let me cause a wreck so I have no chance at winning".

finishing in the top 10 was a miracle.

someone needs to develop a program for stoners like myself to make sure they dont forget to change back to their race set from the q set.

"clear" from the spotter can never be trusted. Clearly you aren't clear if he was supposed to lift. This happens every year and you would think sooner or later someone would learn.

Camry, Rookie is right you can't trust the spotter to tell you if your clear or not. That happened to me once, and haven't trusted the spotter since then!! I use vent now for race tracks and it makes a world of difference to be able to talk to another driver when you need too!!!

That's the first time I ever had "clear" and wasn't. It's not like I drove another half lap then moved over. Of course at that time the door would have closed if I waited that long.

How was I supposed to know he needed to lift? I heard clear, lookup, saw his full car in my mirror and went, he obviously got a big push back...which is why i'm saying he could have lifted.

If it was me, I wouldn't have passed two cars on the outside on lap 8 of a 50 lap race. After the first set of pit stops, things usually spread out some anyway. But then again, What do I know, I almost never have a 'good' plate race finish anyway. That's why I am glad Daytona is over.
