That's the first problem, right there.
46.11.847: drivers.txt: Bad line: 1635472
That's the second problem I can see.
46.10.825: data directory: C:\Program Files (x86)\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat\Data\
That means you don't have heat properly patched. When heat is patched, the Data folder gets replaced by the run folder. Now, if you're using essentials, someone more familiar with the setup of that will have to help you out. I have it installed from the CD, so I don't know exactly what the log file would say, or what the proper patching sequence is.
  1. If you're using a CD install, you have to:
  2. Install Heat from the CD.
  3. Run it once.
  4. Install the 1.1e patch (Must install 1.1 patch, or no other patches will work!)
  5. Run heat agian (This step is important!)
  6. install the 1.80 patch
I noticed that you're either running Windows Vista, or 7, so you need to follow the steps in these Heatfinder Guides, namely the Windows Permissions Bypass, and the Windows Vista / 7 Issues guides.

Hope that all helps.

Contact Dusterlag, perhaps?

How did you install Heat? By Essentials, Essentials 2? Did you install it by the guides that are posted at HeatFinder?

You did install that stuff to its default location on C drive, right?

If you tried installing it on another drive (like a D drive), you are only going to get error after error and its never going to work right. Same thing for installing it on Windows 7 and not going by the guides Bover listed. If you don't read it carefully, its not going to work.

Sorry.... I just wanted to quote this so bmxtwins will see it. He'll know what I'm talking about, since he still has to use the disk in his drive. :twisted

He has a functioning drivers.txt from me, also why not use the original to get your game working before you get editing cars.

You also have a folder called tracks.. Check in your game and see if you have a folder called run. Did you put your add on tracks into a folder called tracks

Having a folder called tracks has been tested @ The Mod Squad by a few of us, and well the outcome as you can see does not work..

Yea, Mauro and I had the same results for offline. But for online when we tested it didn't work.. Yea, I know it was very odd when we both tested it.. Dunno why it didn't work, we tested that thing out several times over the last few weeks..

Have you tested out any other mods? Are you using mod launcher to launch the game? If using mod launcher, make sure you check under utilities, manager, then track manager and make sure your tracks are under the in column

By any chance do you have any ini files in your folder that could be effecting the tracks? One of the above is your problem. But you should also try testing with another mod also. The lch mod is a very easy mod to install and run with heat. Please also test with another mod... Wish we could be of more help, but you have to provide us with more information, since we aren't sitting at your PC and seeing what your seeing. ;)

That line ......" data directory: C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat\Data\",,for some reason even after you install the patch that changes the name of the "Data" folder to "Run"in your computer files, STILL READS " data directory: C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat\Data\" in your heat.log .??????Mine always has! Always will!
I have cd and patched correctly, too and race with no cd in the drive. :mrgreen

Qutlaw- Have you installed any tracks? If you have , and theres no tracks listed in game screen after you have selected a car, then you have not installed them using the "Run as Administrator" method, which is required by Win 7 users.
It will incorrectly install the tracks to "C:\Program Files\Hasbro Interactive\NASCAR Heat\Run" if you do not use that installation method! :mrgreen YOU (win 7 users) need all game files installed in the X86 section of your program files. :mrgreen

The Data folder should not be listed in your heat.log if properly patched.

The track folder will be listed even if it does not exits.

Can you explain what caused it to suddenly be fixed now?

We'd be curious to know what "fixed" it. ;)

First of all, why do you begin every post with first of all? It makes it sound like you're being really sarcastic, or yelling back at people who are trying to help you.

Anyway, happy you got it working.

My heat.log file never includes that "data folder" line.
