You know whats fun..

Post by Haulinace007 »

Meet up with a guy from the league. Spend a few hours runnin the pool table at a local college bar. Then jump in your cars and race around the streets of Ames. That will defineatly create some fierce competition.. Although I give Rookie some slack because it wasn't fair he was in his work car, but he put up a good race.. Now that was fun... Good thing we didn't see any cops.. A 125 in a 45 ticket would have sucked... ACE

I tried but my work van would only go 100. Although Ace pulling his emergency brake while turning was fun to watch. Lol

Since you put it that way, ( and the fact that I feel peer pressured and the ever present need to fit in ) I will add a comment!

Busch Racing has been better in my opinion. The only time I hava had a problem in busch is when I spun myself at Daytona.

When I have subbed for Cup drivers, I have only had a few problems and I have caused some. SORRY ABOUT ALMOST COSTING YOU TOMMY . I will say this about the Cup Darlington race: We went way to easy on that first tire run. I know that sounds weird, but I was on the brakes more than the gas it seemed. So much so, that I had to brake hard late (when the car is getting looser under slow speed) during the first tire run to avoid rear-ending the driver in front of me. That ultimately sent my car diving toward the apron. I don't think I went below a 28.7 before spinning myself.

In contrast, I remember running my 28.4** before the 5th lap in the busch series race and the driving was smoother and cleaner (not to say Cup wasn't though)

I don't know if busch drivers are better... I say we ask this question much later in the season. There is a lot of racing left and some nightmare races might be awaiting either league in the near future.

Was that the right answer? I will change it if I am not excepted by group !

both leagues have someone on top of the standings that have won races in both series so thats not going to tell us much. the only way to prove the truth is to gauge ourselfs agains someone that runs in both. sry lp, but your gonna have to be the mendoza line and we will just see how us busch drivers compare to you as oppossed to the cup drivers. so in essence the goal of every driver in busch or cup should be to beat the 71, everything else will take care of itself. sry lepage, cya at bristol

Well, I've had my fair share of bad luck in both series, but the one thing I've noticed about the Cup series is that there's less patience and more aggresive driving,..I'm talking about getting run over when i check up for a slower car or a problem spot where cars are all over the place, i end up getting crashed out trying to avoid a crash,or instead of waiting for the right time to pass ( me getting out of the way!!! ) they just punt my rear quarter panel or my left side door and send me up the track to meet the wall,.lol Dambedest thing I'v ever seen!! I gota say,...the Busch series drivers are a lot better when it comes to that kind of thing. I always thought that the cup series was the the best of the best, but aparently thats not the case. If i had the time to run on friday nights i would go back to running in the Busch sereis, but no can do, so hopefully it will mellow out a little,.lol.
