I got to take the blame for that early crash. I always try to give people a good amount of room. Sorry to patch, reef, bov, etc etc.

I'm glad to see some of you still be able to get decent finishes.
In Reef we trust.

ok,,1st ....congratz to winner ,lepage....

2nd ..i apologize to all for any incidents i caused. If more than once ...Im really sorry!
Here's where i unknowingly screwed up ....(just to let any noobies or whomever know for future reference)
Since i reinstalled NBS last week after the problems that occurred at Atlanta Nbs race with warping etc.I skipped the
Mexico2007NBS race last sunday night working .(was busy as hell all this week too),but i had meant to reinstall ALL the NBS cartex files from the NBS car tex file thread here in forum.
I forgot up until 5pm my time tonught and raced home ,making it in door at 15 minutes before race start! I did tho get some NBS practice time this morning for about an hour and a 1/2 and felt i had a enuf to complete a decent race.
SO....I just tossed the carfiles i had saved before uninstalling etc..back in ,mine too etc. and joined the server.
Well...i now realize what my warping was caused by.....LOOK below..

the Last half of Heat.log from game......

Apparently , i had even more of you guys in Plain RED cars without your custom paints that as game wore on my computer wore out looking for them and finally i began seeing more and more cars bouncing around like Mexican jumping beans, then steering started to disappear ,so i pulled over and watched u guys finish so i then could save my replay! Im not sure how many red cars there were at start of race cause i had set disply in Options.cfg to show me 8
cars in front and only 6 behind ....too help with framerates ,as to help avoid a reoccurrence of NBS atlanta Rce.so i didnt see the amount of Red cars in either the short practice race i was able to run or the Actual race itself..I started in 14th.
The text in red of the heat.log file is when it really went haywire ,using up resources and just frantically searching for paints.
I NOw know the importance of Making sure u have " ALL" the correct car paints installed from this forum and in the game for all the drivers ! Hope this may help others in future in fixing any game issues
Sorry again and hope this Info helps any one having any similar game warping issues.BTW..not that it really matters i finished in 14th

Speedy, you are misreading what's going on in that log file.

What I quoted above is all that went on during the race. All the red and the other text before it in your post was pre race.
09.36.500: DoRace: load time 8.390 s
This is the line that is made when the last driver clicked "Go". 09.36.500 is the time stamp.... You had heat running for 9min, 36.5sec when the race loaded. "load Time 8.390 s" is how long you had to stare at the loading screen.
50.24.062: Too many events, dropping.
These lines are all the times you warped I suspect (8 in all).
02.16.218: res: ResourceGet("b_paint.img") not found, returning NULL!
02.16.218: Empty image: b_paint.img
This line means One hour, 2 min, 16.218 seconds.... When you went back to the Multiplayer screen after the race was over.
02.17.203: res: ResourceGet("rtp.img") not found, returning NULL!
02.17.203: Empty image: rtp.img

02.17.203: res: ResourceGet("ITZone.img") not found, returning NULL!
02.17.203: Empty image: ITZone.img
Here's where you went back to the Main screen. (ITZone.img and rtp.img are the Beat the Heat and race the pro buttons which were deleted from the main screen by the mod maker)

Summing it all up. Everything you had in purple happened before the race. All those "too many events, dropping" happened in the last ten minutes of the race. The next entry after the do race entry was at 46 min, 51 sec when your RF tire got damaged.

All those "can't find driver for number xxx" comes from heat looking in the race.res and base folder of heat and other mods. It's all harmless. Your warp is probably coming from outsice sources (ie, bad hop between Ariz and Vermont, or from an internal source like a firewall, etc).

Hope that helps give you a better understanding of the log file.

thx for clearing that up for me ,Bover. The only thing is that i started seeing some slightly jumping cars way early like just b4 i first pitted and then a few more began to jump ,while some cars were just fine.as the race wore on it got to the point ,,i'd say around lap
90 or so. a few would every once in a while would visit the 20th row of the spectators stand and come back thru the wall .mostly in
front of me ,which was causing me to have to slow cause i didnt know when they would come flying back in .I remember tho that you seemed to be just fine thruout the race .But man some of them cars were either impatient or ?...and i got smacked up into walll and spun out a bunch a times ..always when i was high in the turn and gave lots of room .between all that and trying to not get in the leaders way then wham out of nowhere get hit or whatever again(toward the part where i 1st pulled it over and pitted and was gonna
call it a day. but while in stall ,I paged up and down thru the field.and all seemed ...well not as bad as i thought .then everyone was getting into each other on the same lap but at opposite ends of track...so i continued on out again figuring i might be able to catch up to BK ..except as soon as i let some leaders on by and got a nice spot to slide on in...Some one ( i suspect it might have been BK)
clobbered me (not intentionally ..I hope..lol) and i got spun so hard i was dizzy and wasnt sure which way was which and couldnt get out the way ..Unfortunately it was Reef ,i think(sorry man) that I collected up into or infront of and i said Bye..then i pulled in the other pit
lane and sat and watched the rest .Cars were twisting and jumping and in the stands and total kaos .Not a pretty sight.Wild child said
later he didnt see me warping at all during the race.I havenet watched the replay yet .i hope this doesnt continue. In the cup i race ,i was so tired i just pulled it in after 20 or so laps but didnt see any major issues..One thing though just came to mind.Ramrock it seems is having some issues to ,but havent talked with him to see if he's seeing what im seeing.or was he just having a bad hair day..lol!

Just remember this, Speedy. If you see everyone on the track warping bad, it's you that is warping. Anytime that happens to anyone here, we should do the right thing, and call it a day.

You have to remember, there's no such thing as 'giving room' in a case of bad warp. While it looks like to you, that those cars are clobbering you, those guys see you clobbering them.

You never had warp like that before the 2nd or 3rd race of this season, so I'm wondering if you did something with your computer (new equipment, security software, P2P software, etc) that'd be causing your warp.

I havent changed a thing that i know of , but ill check into it.
i am not warping in any other server or mod or league but this server and i think its only occurring in Nbs.and it might be when Ramrock is in the same race. Sly recently had a problem in Jesses server when one particular driver was in the server.and it was a bad cartex in cts
Could you check in to that if u see Ramrock b4 i do.it may be a bad cartex file in nbs.Im not sure if Cup races have been effected

The same thing is happening to Ramrock47. Both you guys need to check out what's going on with your internet connections.

Below is an example..... Ramrocks car gets lifted off the ground by patch's car when in actuality, patch never touches him. To Ramrock it probably looked like Patch ran into the back of him, but to everyone else, patch included, patch drove better than a car width below him.
lag.jpg
This type of occurence is causing you guys to wreck, which is sometimes causing other wrecks to other drivers.

It is every drivers responsibility to be sure they have a good connection and not be a hazzard to other racers. That's just general online gaming ediquette.

Well all I can say is, I have a Road Runner high speed online turbo cable conection, and a high end graghics card ( ATI Radeon HD 5770 1 GB ) and I use a Logitech MoMo USB plug and play stearing wheel,.and when I run Practice in the evenings during the week with four to eight other drivers I dont warp,.and on the night of the nbs race I was in the server about an hour and a half to two hours before race time and I was fine,..I was running good,. had a fairly fast hotrod,.. heck I was running door to door with kyle, Reef and others and having a great time. I didnt see any jumping or warping untill a few laps of practice just before the race and in the server test laps,..Hell it could be you causeing it bov,..lol just kidding :laughing :laughing :mrgreen . I dont know bov,..I'm not saying that I'm not warping,..maybe I am,..but if I am,..I dont know or understand why,..I shouldnt be. Its only in the race server,..maybe theres a problem there,..I dont know,..all I know is, I dont have a problem with warp and jumping bean cars till race time. If I had a warping problem wouldnt show up during the week in practice in the server?

It depends....... maybe your connection can handle 8 cars just fine, but when you get upwards of 15, it gets shaky....

It's more LAG than warp. You aint flyin thru the grandstands or antyijng but heat is kinda misreporting your car's location. That's usually a sign of lag.

What I'd do if I were you, is if you're using norton's firewall, turn it off. Turn windows firewall on. But, if your roadrunner cable modem has a hardware firewall, turn them both off. Also, make sure the kid turns off the other computer at race time. That's what I do to my kids. Them being on the internet, or even their computer downloading updates, will reak havoc on ur connection.
