wow, how did i miss this fun loving thread?

j2, i feel your pain. i got all bent about this stuff early in the 2005 season when i had all those pc issues that darn near caused me to retire. i only posted once per day it seemed in the help forum trying to get my shit fixed while at the same time i kept getting jobbed by the scoring rules. (notice i say rules and not admins, if nothing else i think they try their best to follow their own rules about this scoring stuff, the admins are all good guys in my book)

I would be like "HELLO! IDIOTS, are you blind? i am not racing because i friggin cant, i'm trying the best i can damnit now stop giving me points behind dudes like viagra(i hate to use an old freind who intoduced me to this league as an example, but nevertheless) who hasent competed in a darn year or so. It drove me insane and there were times that i thought they were playing mind games with me or whatever. I just never thought to complain at the time publically.

but sinse those days i have payed attention and asked some of the admins from time to time about it and have also payed close attention to the results enough to know that there is some sort of method to their madness after all.

so here is what i am planning on doing and i suggest everyone does in the future.

"i'm gonna mis every race, every single one on the schedule"

there ya go, there is my notification to the league, no different than others who just dissappear forever but some blanket statement still gets them in the front of the line. I am now in the front of the line for every race i dont show up for right? lmao

i dont see any penalty for showing up to a race after you notify the league of an absence.

that way, if you do have a real life emergency that keeps you away from the computer for a week or two, you have already notified the league with that blanket statement that puts you within the rules, thats right, just say whatever the heck you need to say to get those points man! lol

"due to a lifestyle of binge drinking and pill popping, i cannot say beyond right this minute that i will ever make another race in the league, but i am not quitting, so please put my ass in the CEM section of line that still gets decent points ahead of guys that mis one stinking race, i am sure to miss every single one that i dont make" lmao

keep a copy of it and send it right back off again 10 seconds after every single race. better yet, after we say all the "gr's" and "gw's" and stuff after the race, we should all have a fast finger contest to say, "btw - i will miss next week" so we dont get screwed by the goofy rules.

if we all do that each and every week, it will surely force a change to the rulebook concerning missed races that would prevent results that just dont make sense, like guys who couldent give a rats ass about the league getting more points then good drivers who just got stuck at little mary sue's friggin birthday party and stare at the screen for a whole week waiting for the results to see how many points he needs to make up and then realizes the retired and homeless are getting more points because of some generic blanket statement friggin months ago.

i know one thing, my ass in getting in line for the bush points right now, even though i just might show up anyway.....

"Efgordon will be at a CEM pep rally on saturday night, so this is my official notification that i might miss the race"

This wasn't meant to be a bickering post.....I was/am angry at the thought that some drivers that miss 1 race are scored behind those that have said they will miss an indefinite time. It seems everyone, except satirist efgordon, missed this point and thinks that there is some kind of underlying reason for this. Theres not, I just wanted an explanation as to why this was happening, and as to legitimate argument, you fail to bring anything to the table Rookie, you blew this out of proportion by saying I was whinning, not I.

For those of you think that I am trying to say there is a conspiracy, wrong again. All I meant by "more than meets the eye" is that directly or indirectly, there is favortism. Not just by this incident, but by others as well.

And you want to talk about immaturity? What about the Wildfire incidents on and off this year, you both acted like little children throughout the whole thing and then you have the guts to say i'm whinning? Funny how that works.

You are correct. I am immature and that's why I "play" a game online at 43 years of age. The downfall of arguing with a fool is you might be mistaken for one.

I guess, I'm in the same boat with Rookie... You know you can't go backwards in this game. You can only go forward. and that is what Him and I have done!!! How about you J2, have u moved forward since the "dam past" as you put it!!!. Now why don't u leave the past in the past. If u don't like it. u know were to stick it!!!

Ok. Can someone fill me in? What did me and Duster DO to deserve all this BULLSHIT from the members of this league?? Neither of us have been around to do anything... In months... The 1 maybe 2 races I have done in the last 6 months I got involved in someone elses shit and retired early...

Maybe the all-mighty racing God rookiesrock came across a thought in my head that might have hinted something against this league? I had absolutley NO problem with 98% of the guys in this league. My issue was with the Admin and maybe 1-2 other guys... But now I know, all ya'll, OTHER than 2-3 guys, are just a bunch of "immature" punks.

"Ahhh gee doZ we was just kiddin' around...We was just messin' with ya.."

Yeah..mess with this ,,|,,

Nice use of big words there too JC...lmao

Probably the main reason some peeps take offense to certain posts is not their subject matter, but how it is conveyed. I can't see any reason to use words like Fuck, Shit, Damn, Asshole, etc. in anger like a couple peeps have in the not too distant past. That's just plain immature.

You guys know I am a straight shooter, and am probably the easiest guy in this league to get along with, but acting out like that will turn me off. When we (veteran drivers) see noobs (not discriminatory) coming on here, and saying stuff, and calling people names, we feel the need to put them in their place.

Time for some of us to do some growing up.

I can only speak for myself here dozer, but i have been kidding around with you guys at CEM from the very beggining and i think most people who know me realize that i am 95% sarcastic 1/2 of the time? LOL I probably should put a stop to it being you guys are not around to defend yourselfs anymore.

If i offended you by my opinions of the rules, i apologize. heck, i hope i made it clear to the admins too that its nothing personal for me, i just always see the results and scratch my head, then just prepare for the next race. This is the only time i ever seen anyone wonder about it like i used to, so i felt the need to "keep it real" as they say

now please excuse me as my mom just arrived with my happy meal! lmao

The picture BTW is the new winter line of BBFF apparel handsomely modeled by none other than dozer (owner of CEM) and a member of his developement team. You can get these in any size and/or color. And the hats are free.

You know this really isn't worth my time but here it goes:

Rookie- As far as I am concerned, you have overstepped boundries and commented on something you should have just kept yourself out of. You are just still fuming after being told off by ROOKIES in the SCCA! LMAO You bring it all on yourself! And if you are gonna complain about the SCCA, why can't you stay out of the SCCA? Also, I was in no way complaining here and sometimes you have to bitch about something to let everyone know you are paying attention and to keep things in line. You just agree to whatever lepage says. What a hand puppet! Jackass, you have stepped into it again!

Bover- That attitude is exactly my problem with this league. New guys are discriminated against, whether or not it is on purpose. "Don't let the door hit you in the ass!" Don't worry, the drivers that do not feel welcome here always find their place. This league will need new drivers eventually and at this rate, they will all see what assholes are racing in this league.

Lepage71- You are a great guy and even though not everyone gets along with you, you try your best. You just follow the rules you make (although excessive) and call it how you see it. I support you 100% but I think some of these guys have to and probably will go soon! Its not even fun anymore and I know alot of drivers who agree. Lepage, I respect your decisions here and think you do a great job handling these clowns.

DavisV- We simply had an on-track issue and it is nothing further. We have had a series of unfortuniate circumstances. I see you as the next leader of the NHRL. You driving skill and your decision-making is top notch. I will race everyone the way they race me. If you block me on lap 12, it will come back to you , but with equal consequences. Although it may hurt you more while you are leading and I am in 12th (think about that). You are alright in my book and a great driver.

Dozer- We are former teammates and friends. I agree with your critisizm of this league and see your points, but it is the rules , not the admins, that are the problem in my opinion. The rules come from complaining from drivers. Sometimes this is good changes and sometimes it is bad. I understand why you left and am comtemplating the same.

Wildfire- We talked this morning but I do not like your attitude. Man, you know me and you are cool but since I am being honest about everyone, here it is. Seems like you try to be everyone's daddy. I understand that you are just trying to help, but it comes across wrong. We talked about this today. Its all perception and since I know the truth, it isn't a problem. Maybe some other members of this league should try to open their minds too.

efgordon- I have always found that you are cool and an easy going guy. This holds true in this post. You see the whole story, not just what you want to rant about. I admire you much for having an open mind and being opinionated. If we had more guys like you, this league would be 100 times better.

J2theC- You are a hothead but you are honest and very opionated. This provides for some sparks along the way. I do see your point, even though it has been smeared and distorted so much by rookiesrock and others. I like that you are not afraid to speak up and take critisizm from others, although the critisizm in this post is truely unneeded. Lepage clearly said there was a flaw and that is all that needed to be addressed. All this BS from rookiesrock is just frustration from a not-so-bright comment he made in the SCCA forum. He needs to talk to his buddy WildFire and learn to move on and get over it. I sympathize with you. I too have spoken out in certain areas and have felt no change. It is apparent that some things need to be changed and, guys of this league, posts like these are the way it happens. Learn from this!

If I didnt mention you, you are either not important enough or a friend that already knows it!

This post is exactly what the NHRL needs. A wake-up call that the way thing are going are not the right direction. Soon drivers will be leaving and nobody will be there to fill their spot. The inevitable fall from glory will soon follow.

There are my feeling about this shit! If you have a problem with it, sorry but thats the way I feel. Things just get blown out of porportion by "certain" people. All that was needed to J2theC's post was the answer from lepage. Thats it! Now things have gotten complicated and you will continue to see the results of this.

welll.....I won't comment on the above....;)

there are a few things here. First I'm not sure how exactly farfetch'd this post can get. I have tried to relay my message, and the message was for those that forgot:

I recived points equlivant to 22nd place at the Charlotte Race. Duster recevied 19th and doZer received 20th. That is a difference of 13 points...not to mention all the other races that I have missed and been scored behind people that have missed multiple races.

There was one response that was needed, the first post by lepage, all the rest of this is blasphamy. You can thank Rookiesrock for turning this into more than it is/was. Sorry to the league for one little post, although colourful, turned it something that this isn't.

Rookie and Wildfire, you both have some serious mental issues, im not kidding. You both think that every fight is your own, and sometimes its best to stay the fuck out you know? And Wildfire, you talk a good game face to face but what I have I deserved to get your critism? I don't even see you or anyones point in this argument, but hey, its hard for you to make a point isn't it wildfire? Your just a scatterbrain....
And as for you Rookie, I dunno what I have done to you, all i said in the other forums is elaborate and you did then i said it takes time to do writeups. Sorry that we take time out to do work for free for your entertainment, my fault. You also want to complain about whining when your the one that blew this whole thing out of proportion.....
You both should rexamine yourselves and take alook in the mirror.
