IndyRC T Caution Flag Review

Post by lepage71 »

Overall, we had a pretty good race at IndyRC T. No pit road penalties, solid driving, and some good races.

We only had one caution so we did not have nearly the trouble that we had last week at Darlington. However, there were still some miscues. Namely, when the caution flag came out on the leader's lap 10, we again had a situation where drivers were mistakenly lining up in between the pace car and the leader. Breeze, Spike, Kart, and CR49 collectively lined up behind the official, even though they were all on the end of the lead lap. When the caution came out, each of these drivers should have recognized their position, passed the pace car, kept going around the track, and slowed at the end of the pace line.

Fortunately, we rectified the problem on Ventrilo, and everyone who made the mistake was able to circle around the course on the second caution flag lap and get on the correct lap. Additionally, the free pass driver, Grumpy, was not affected negatively, and he received his lap back as was correct, as well.

Remember, when the yellow flag comes out, the first guy behind the pace car should always be the race leader. If you're not him, you're in the wrong spot.
